About Us

Kidsmiths was created to share resources and insights from industry leaders and experts on raising healthy kids.

Here you’ll find content about preparing kids for preschool, making transitions to middle grades, planning for high school and beyond.

We’ll learn about the connections between art and music and brain development, share resources on mental health, talk about reading, math, science, technology, exercise and sports, and social and emotional growth.

Kristie, my sisters and I were raised by a family full of educators. We were exposed to books and libraries, taking hikes on road trips, and singing at the piano in our basement. We learned to wash dishes and bake amazing treats with our grandma, learned the value of a work ethic doing chores like stacking wood with our grandpa, and participated in community arts and activities. We honed our sales acumen selling girl scout cookies door-to-door and learned how to problem solve when things didn’t go as planned.
